This step-by-step summary explains how to amend a phased investment online. Users can only set up new phased investment instructions with new business or top-up applications.
What you’ll need to get started
- Name(s) of the target asset(s)/portfolio(s) to be phased into
- Asset allocations (%)
Amending or cancelling a phased investment
① Find the client from the homepage using the search facility and click on the client’s account.
② Click on the ‘Asset holdings’ tab and scroll down to the ‘Phased investment’ section where details of the investment amount and phasing period will be displayed. Below that will be the current allocation of assets.
③ To amend the phased investment instruction click on the ‘Edit’ button. Make the required changes to the assets, read through and tick the adviser declarations, and click ‘Submit’.
④ To cancel the phased investment instruction click the ‘Cancel’ button, then ‘Yes’.
- You will be asked to confirm the cancellation instruction which will take effect from the next phasing period.
- Any remaining amount that has not yet been invested into the target asset(s) will remain in cash (or BlackRock Cash for the Collective Investment Bond) and will no longer be ring-fenced for the purpose of phasing.
