What you’ll need to get started
- You’ll need the new details for whatever you’re changing; for example, the client’s new address or contact details.
- When changing the client’s bank account details, you’ll need the sort code, account number, bank name and account name.
Managing a client’s personal and bank account details
① Find the client from the homepage using the search facility. Click on the ‘Manage details’ quick link button and select ‘Edit client’.
② This brings up the ‘Manage details’ page which has two tabs at the top – ‘Client details’ and ‘Banking details’. On the ‘Client details’ tab click on the ‘Edit’ button next to any of the sections to add and update information.
- The only information which cannot be updated online is your client’s name and date of birth. For these, you will need to send us proof of identification.
③ From the ‘Manage details’ page, click on the ‘Banking details’ tab and the client’s bank details will be displayed along with a list of products the bank account is available for. To add another bank account click on the ‘Add another bank account’ button and enter the details, then click ‘Continue’.
- When adding a new bank account for a client we will attempt to automatically verify the account so that it can be used for withdrawals. If we are unable to verify the account we will let you know by asking you to supply additional information before withdrawals can be made.
